Guest guest
The doctor did give me some sample for Zyrtec, but only enough for 3 days....I will try the otc. Allegra 180. I have put in a call to my nephrologist" Nurse Practitioner."....she was the only person who would listen to me and help me out before when all my other doctors had deserted me ....I told the receptionist the bind I was in ....and with my doctors out of town. I told her I needed someone to prescribe a steroid cream for the rash , and Flexoril for Restless Legs.....she is supposed to be in around Noon and will call me back. I'll let you know how it goes. Re: HIGH AND MIGHTY DOCTORS , Didn't the doctor suggest an antihistamine for the rash? That should help with any allergicreaction you might be having, and stop the itching, too. If you can't take Benadryl, perhaps you cantake the OTC Allegra 180. It doesn't cause sleepiness. If you have coverage for ER, use it and go...or to a minor trauma center, if your insurance covers it. We have ER's, here, but we also have minortrauma centers that deal with stuff like rashes, broken bones, sprains, flu, etc. Just a thought.Good luck, and keep in touch...and if it was me, I would be asking some very strong questions of yourregular docs as to why they did not put someone on call for you and their other patients in case oftrouble. That should be a given, and the on-call docs should be prepared to deal.
