It is not that I can not get to sleep. I can, but starting around 9:00 or

10:00 I just don't want to go to sleep and start doing things. I suppose

that is when my normal cortisol is peaking....sigh. I have been up until

3:00-4:00 every day lately

I tried some CORTEF for about 2 1/2 weeks, and then quit, because

1) I was afraid of becomming dependent.

2) a not too steady dosage a few times gave me an idea that my body would

readily become dependent...just conjecture

3) I got some pronounced hypoglycemia

4) Since gong off, it seems my major food allergies are starting to come

back.

I think this all means that I NEED the CORTISONE, but I am afraid to take it

becasue of what might happen. I am also mercury toxic.

(I made some ADAPTOGEN (wilson adrenal support and have started taking

that...so far nothing)

________

2 days ago I dropped down on thyroid from 4 1/2 grains to 3 grains becasue

my Thyroid-S order is back-ordered. SO Iam spacing out so I do not run out.

This morning I had a lot of heart pounding in bed..when I first woke up and

then it continued.

Low CORTISOL????

It cuold also be form finishing a round of DMSA about 36 hours hence, but I

am votig for the low cortisol

Iam wondering if I should take some CORTEF again while I wait for my thyroid

order to come in...got the 1000 pill count this time ;-)

Yeah, I've always had more energy at night. I would be nocturnal,

except the world is run by morning people.

I understand being scared of being dependent on Cortef. FWIW, when I

started Cortef it made an amazing difference. The doc told me to take

15 mg, but I took 20 because I slept better. After a month or so, I cut

back to the 15 I was supposed to be taking with no problem. Now,

roughly 6 months after that, I have cut back from 15 to 12.5, also with

no problems (at least so far). I have given up on the doctor that told

me I'd be on it for life, and started weaning off myself. The stories

people have told here about screwing up adrenal output for life made an

impression on me.

Would maybe just 5 mg in the morning be any help? That is when your

adrenals work the hardest, so maybe giving them a break in the morning

would help them relax in the evening. It's hard to imagine becoming

dependent on 5mg. But I am just pulling this out of thin air, I don't

really know if it's a good idea.

For hypoglycemia, aren't you supposed to have small snacks all day long?

Gosh, I've been on a hypoglycemia diet all my life and didn't know it.

That's what I thought, so I tried it, but then I started getting

hypoglycemic events and my food allergies seemed to start gettomg wprse

agaom.

Yes

> Gosh, I've been on a hypoglycemia diet all my life and didn't know it.

I think I am going to take heed about what you said about the adrenal

support.

How late do you take your last dose?

How far apart do yu spread it out?

How many doses a day.

How do you get the dangged tiny pills in equal sizes...or does that matter

all that much.

The stuff is good for theree hours, right? ...or is it 4 hours? 3 hours

dosing schedule would be a lot easier. Would that be okay?

Equal dosing seems key, but I can't see taking it in the middle of the

night...but if I wake up with my heart pounding, then I should take some

CORTISONE at that time? What is the chance that that could make it worse?

Questinos, (was that in Spanish?) questions, questions...

Geeze...10:00 already...where are my adrenals...
