Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the advice, I'm not sure what's involved w/ a colon ressection but it sounds like major surgery and I'm not up for that! I do eat a lot of salads (not iceberg lettuce either) but yours sound extra yummy so I bought the ingredients yesterday to try it. I haven't had dried prunes for a few weeks so I got 2 boxes yesterday too. I never eat white bread or biscuits, I only eat the 12 grain bread and eat a whole lot of fruit and fiberous cereal. I'll admit that I do need to drink more water though. I'm good with it on days that I work but when I'm home I don't take the time. The threat of surgery should make me drink more though. I see my doctor again on Thurs. A few people suggested Fleet enimas, but I'm not sure that is the answer since the doctor could feel stuff from my left to right side and under my ribcage. I don't think that Fleet could get the whole way up where I need it to. I do go to the bathroom several times a day and didn't think I had a problem until I got this pain! It's not the case at all that I NEVER go; I DO!! So now I'm taking 2 of the Senecot every night and last night I ate 6 prunes before bed and a bowl of Raisin Bran for a snack. Still nothing of epic proportion! I don't feel too bad any more, the pain isn't all over like it was, but I have a lot of spasms on my lower left side. I'm going to keep up the intense fiber therapy until Thurs. and see what happens. Can you tell me exactly what is Diverticulitis (sp?) and how you get it? Sorry so long (and kind of gross!) and thanks for the info! in PA > Hi , > I have had the same problem and it wound up causing diverticulitis which in turned caused me to have to have a colon ressection. That my girl is no fun.....so you definately need to get things moving again. After you get things moving again, and are evacuated....try not to let things get so backed up again. this is what I do to keep things moving. > >
