My husband is very helpful and protective, but cannot really understand why I am so tired and how much the pain takes from my energy. Dietiticians helped me and now I know when to do what, but I am sometimes surprised when I eat a proper lunch and have a low sugar right afterward. Mostly, though, you get to hear your own clues. I used to worry about having a reaction at night but it does wake me right uo and I keep a drink and crackers near the bed in case.
