Guest guest
I don't think leg spasms or Charlie Horses are a hypo symptom. They could be but I don;t think they are as I haven't heard of it before. However, that said I do get those too! There for a while I got them alot.. Have you ever had a spasm in your upper abdominal muscles right around your rib cage? I had them to the point they were debilitating and I would have to go home from work as once I had one every time I bent a certain way it came right back the rest of the day. Three things I found that helped. Leg Cramps plus Quinine, Regular Quinine (if you can find it anymore!) and increasing my salt intake. For me it was caused by low sodium. I had about 6 blood tests and had perfectly fine potassium, magnesium and all the blood gasses were fine. It was a real stumper till I noticed by LOOKING at my own labs that one said low sodium. I was craving salt anyway so I just gave in I ate about three huge jars of Dill Pickles, and a bag of chips all in about 2 days. I do not usually eat chips at all! The cramps have stopped for the most part. Every now & then I will get a twinge & I just eat some salty food and it is gone. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes?
