Hi everyone,

Rheumy just got off the phone with me (it is now 9:30pm) Friday

night.

He wanted to know if I had any luck getting Methotrexate. (His office is closed on Friday’s

during the summer) and I said to him “Funny you should ask me that, there

is no pharmacy in the state of NY that can get me this med” I also told

him the pharmacist I normally deal with was informed that they probably would

not get any shipments for possibly a year.

He said, he had heard many of his patients complaining it

had already happened but he was hoping I could pull something outta my sleeve. LOL

So we discussed what the next game plan is. Monday he is

going to set me up for Rituxan which is a new lupus

med, but not a new med all together. Supposedly they have been using this med

for cancer treatments and non hodgkins

something or another. (can’t remember exactly

what he said)

He said he would discuss the med with me more on Monday and

that we have a lot to discuss about it. Oh boy I don’t think I am liking this scenario.

Has anyone is the group had this medicine?

I am too exhausted to even deal with researching it right

now and tomorrow is my all day trip to the Spa with Mike. I don’t want to

be researching this med and then be all depressed tomorrow.

I will let you know when I learn more…

Have a great weekend all.

Hugs,

Deanna

LUPUS Serenity

Prayer...

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot

change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the

bodies of doctors I shot when they said, You're perfectly healthy, it's all in

your head "
