Guest guest
O.K. all you girls who are further along than me: How do you tell if you are having period problems from peri or from thyroid? I have been tinkering with my Armour dose since forever...In December I was at 2 1/2, started adrenal supplementation and felt hyper within a month so dropped down to 2 1/4. Spent the month of January gradually feeling poorer and poorer (depression, weight gain, yada yada). Dropped the adrenal glandulars, because I figured out they were making me hyper and switched over to only Cortef, 12mg/ a day divided. Had good response to this, mostly improvement in nerve and muscle pain, better sleep. For the last couple weeks again have felt poorer, depression, not sleeping as well, getting up to pee at night, waking up stiff and groggy. Remembered that since I changed my Armour in January and have been on Cortef and no glandulars I have had problems with spotting AFTER my period, my period just sort of goes on lightly for about a total of 8 or nine days. Then this cycle, I had this same pattern and I got my period after only 15 days of a cycle. I have been so dark in my mood my husband told me to increase my Armour, which I did, and immediately felt better. HELP!! Is this peri or is this hypo? Oh, my 50th birthday is in a couple months. R.
