Could be the masseuse is pressing too hard; this is where you have to speak up and tell them what you need - Also, have you ever had ice massage? It's dreamy! Takes away the pain. My therapist would freeze ice in the tiny bathroom cups, then rip away most of the paper, leaving her with a large chunk of ice with which to rub my neck, shoulders and back muscles. She says you either love it or hate it! I love it, and I often rub ice on my shoulders or neck muscles when they are hurting - Colette, S. I did have about three different masseuses to try and massage me and everyone of them hurt my back so much. Believe me, I told them to stop, they did. Hope you are doing all right.
