Isn't there any friends or distant relatives that you could help you get to

your appt?.....I hate to see you and your health suffer due to the fact that

your family doesn't understand the importance of the correct health

procedures. I hope you find something that can work for all of you.

Especially your health. God bless and keep your chin up girlie ;o)

Ohh that would of went over like a lead balloon with me...I would of stood up

and walked out and told him to go eat a piece of cheese as I was walking

out....GRRRR

My first Rheumy sounds like the Rheumy you have. He said that he didn't

prescribe pain killers for Fibromites either....I found me another

Rheumy....but I'm not completely satisfied with her either....I'm on another

search....but don't give up...if you have to drive 3 or 4 hours its well

worth it believe me....to have a doctor tell you its in your head or you are

the way you are because you need to loose weight is B.S.

I think the fact that I like fine to people and 95% of all the people

involved in my life doesn't believe I have this disease and that there is

something wrong with me.

Something else I did when I 1st was having this problem was I took 800 mg of

Ibprofen I just took 8 tablets of 100 mg. Ibprofen. My family doctor said it

was the samething as the prescribed IB 800. IB has an anti-inflammitory in it

and it also helps with pain.

Something else you could try is the rice socks. Get you some tube socks and

put the " OLD STYLE RICE " in the tube socks.Don't buy minute rice make sure

its the hard rice... Put the sock in the microwave for 2 min. on high and

then lay them wherever you hurt....I like like one big human sock believe

me....lol

I also used Tylenol Arthritis alot....I hope these idea's are somewhat

helpful. At least until you can get to a Rheumy that knows about FMS/CFS.

Lots of hugzzz and prayers

Allicia

Dear Allicia,

Thank you for your suggestions Hon. :-) And believe me, when the Rheumy made

that comment, I felt like shoving a piece of cheese where the sun don't shine.

;-)

Problem is, I don't drive...I have to depend on family members to take me to all

my appointments. There is already alot of griping because I have to go so much.

They don't want to drive me the 45 minutes to ton, much less somewhere

further away. My Neurologist suggested I try to see someone at WVU at

town...that's 3 and a half hours from here. My family just laughed when I

told them.

So since my Rheumy is the only one in town who will accept Medicaid, I guess

I'll stick with him.

Thanks for caring. :-)
