i've never seen this listed as a hypo symptom i don't think. but in the

years prior to diagnosis, i would have nausea. looking back, it might have just

been something associated with the sick state of my body....and i also know i

did not eat regularly or well for a while before diagnosis. no appetite. i

hardly ever get nauseous now that i'm on thyroid meds...just a couple of times

when i had gone to long without eating.

, are you having problems with nausea?? It's a rare thing if

someone here mentions it in association with either, but I think it

could be a possibility for someone.

I have problems with nausea too. I get it mid morning (like morning sickness

except that I don't actually vomit) every morning for about a week and then it

goes away, only to reappear a few weeks later. I think it's adrenal.

Thanks to all who commented on the nausea question. It is so

helpful to get everybody's feedback! I used to get this symptom

every month a couple years ago around mid-cycle. I haven't had it

for awhile, and just started getting it again the last couple

weeks. I think it IS related to thyroid and/or adrenal, this

morning I read maybe liver or gallbladder also. Probably some

effect they all have on each other!

I increased my thyroid to 2 3/4, have had no bad effects from it

as yet, only positives. My Cortef is at 12mg/day divided. My

doctor said he doesn't want me to go above this, but I have a

feeling I need a little more, as I am not " steady " in my energy and

muscle symptoms, etc. all day long. I am still having spaces in the

day where I feel unbalanced. I am going to ride it out for awhile

and see if it settles down (just increased a week ago). I have

tried Tish (or Cindi's?) advice and tried just a teeny bit more

Cortef a couple days, and that seemed to help also.

Ginger tea and capsules help, also.

Tish, thanks for that, I think mine could be linked to me raising my thyroid

dose, that would make sense that I have the nausea for a few days every few

weeks. Next time I raise the dose I'll take notice and see if the nausea

returns

Definitely. Nausea is a symptom of low cortisol. People with

s suffer with this a lot. Nausea is a very common symptom of

adrenal hypofunction, which is often tied to thyroid treatment. Dose

raises, stress, illness, mornings, big meals, meals with too much

sugar or carbos, forgetting adrenal support, can trigger nausea due

to these thing's stressing the adrenals.
