Guest guest
Ladies, I, too, fell apart at the office, more than once, in fact. After nearly 22 years of steady work, which included major crises like the loss of both my parents, a brother, my health getting worse and worse, etc., one day I just came unglued over a simple act of rudeness by a coworker. Wasn't anything big, just petty, but it was the last straw. Made me understand why some workers go postal on people. I just became hysterical, weeping and shouting, and carrying on. Very embarrassing. But, when my doctor finally convinced me to retire on disability pension (I paid into it all those years, by the way.) the powers that be in the office didn't even whimper over my settlement. They were relieved to have it taken out of their hands. LOL The only thing they held up was my retirement benefits and the union had to step in and negotiate for those. That's in our contract, but the office did try to deny my benefits, mostly as an exercise of power...the bums. I guess what I'm trying to say, here, is that we all have big, bad, embarrassing times...many of them due to our condition with Lupus, but it's better than furnishing the reason for funeral weeds...isn't it? Loving hugs, MM
