I went from hypo to

This was not rue hyperthyroidism but thryoid hormone building up in

your blood and not getting into tissues due to adrenal problems. You

cannot get true hyper untill your dose exceeds what your heatlhy

thyroid would make or 3 to 5 grains or 220 to 370 mcg synthroid.

When cortisol is too low or when you have anemia and other

deficienecies, thyroid hormone can't work and so builds up in the

blood. This will force free T3 up very high and TSH down, but your

tissues are still very deprived and body temperature will be very

low.

The reason that I was on Syn was because I could

This would be the case in adrenal problems or other deficitncies.

The T3 would worsen the adrenal condition.

But now the doc feels that Armour may not cause

I totally agree with him on this. The synthroid is causing you to

become more hypothyroid on the tissue level. So at night you are

becomming oxygen deprived. Extra breathing can't help you. I had

similar problems with Levoxyl - felt like I was suffocating.

Dr. Ray Peat has called Synthroid an anti-thyroid medicine because

it seems to enterfere with thyroid function for many people.

If I do go on Armour I will have

Yup, this is what I had to do. I could only tolerate 1/8th of a

grain in the beginning. It took me a long time. But, it's worth the

suffering. You will do better in the long run.
