Guest guest
Hi, I was so hopeful that a hyst. would relieve some, if not all (~) my fibro symptoms. When I developed a large cyst and fibroids at age 51 I jumped @ my doctor's recommended hysterectomy, even knowing that cysts often shrink during menopause. I had NO gyn symptoms at all. I've had surgery before in my life, but I swear, that hyst. was the MOST painful thing I've ever endured. I didn't have a morphine pump @ my disposal, as some doctor's let their patient's use, but I felt as though I was on fire, really. I had never even feared surgery before, but ever since that surgery 5 years ago I will think REALLY long & hard before I have surgery. I think my pain threshold is really low or something; all I know is I used to be " trooper " , and during that surgery I was in agony. Don't entertain thoughts of a hysterectomy unless you absolutely have to have one...! Casa in FL
Guest guest
I had a hysterectomy at 32. I was supposed to feel wonderful afterwards, but that is when the fibro got FAR worse. I traded treatable uterine pain for this.....not the choice I would have made! Hi, I was so hopeful that a hyst. would relieve some, if not all (~) my fibro symptoms.
