Guest guest
I'm confused.... My doc keep saying I test high for metals..... ok .... but on the explanation itself says - quote - Test result: Urine r Extremely Increased Evaluation: The r value of the urine is elevated. When the r value of the urine is elevated it indicates that the overall mineral concentration of the urine is diminished. This depletion of minerals may indicate lack of available minerals in the body which may severely alter enzyme efficiency. A depletion of minerals may be due to an imbalance in normal dietary factors, or perhaps even intestinal malabsorption. Additionally, this scenario may be created by a deficiency in the concentration capacity of the kidneys. As the human kidney ages and or moves towards degeneration, its ability to consistently and efficiently remove waste products is greatly compromised. When this occurs, the resistivity of the urine will increase. Finally, (drum roll please) ... ADRENAL EXHAUSTION should also be considered as a primary cause of this imbalance. The adrenal gland is paramount in the regulation and elimination of specific minerals. These results are after I'd been on Adaptogen ('s protocol for Adrenal Fatigue) for 3 months. (Which he abruptly took me off of when I told him I wanted to try Armour.) These labs were done on Nov 1st. Compared to the labs done on my first visit (Aug. 28th) there's no change in numbers at all. While he was looking at my labs on my FIRST visit the very first words out of his mouth were... " Your labs tell me you've had some extreme stress going on. " Now all of a sudden he's forgotten all about my stressed adrenals, and now he wants me to do Oral Chelation. Even though I've told him I still have symptoms of adrenal problems. I felt better while I was on the Adaptogen, but was it really helping? The labs don't bear that out. (Maybe it was just all in my head?...) I know there are several of you here that have done or are still doing the Oral Chelation. I'm not so sure I want to. I know there two sides to every story but after reading through these links I'm on the fence so to speak. My doc is pushing the BC-I by Longevity Plus @ $54.00 for a 30 day supply. The testing for the " specific " metals is $169.00 my insurance won't pay for. Yet if the test says I need it my insurance will pay for the Chelation Therapy. Umm... doesn't my urine " r " values say I need it? I'm confused.......me thinks I'm reeaallly close to having a " hypOconniption " ... Any comments are valued and appreciated. I'm sorry this is so long.... thanks for providing a place to " vent " ... Becky WHAT ABOUT ORAL CHELATION? By Elmer M.
