Guest guest
Bucholz658@... Age range: 30 Male/female: female What are the symptoms? pain, knots in muscles especially in my back, fatigue, irritability. Has you illness been diagnosed? yes How long did you suffer before you got help? not sure, I don't remember Is there a time that you can remember when it started? no Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight. Have you found this to be a problem also? yes, although since my depression has gotten worse, I am starting to lose weight.lol Are you on disability? working for it If you are any pointers for others trying to get on disability? If you are going to try, I was told that getting your hours cut to almost nothing right away will help. You can make up to $700.00 per month. What have you found that helps ease the pain, warm baths, medications etc.? Unfortunately I have not found anything that eases the pain, a warm bath or reading anything to get my mind off it. Do you have sleep problems? How do you deal with it? Yes, ambien has worked for me in the past, currently I am not taking anything, I do try to take my muscle relaxers as close to bedtime as possible. Do you have family that understands your illness? I think that my father is starting to believe me, I dont think my husband believes me, or my mother- she thinks its all in my head, lol Some have found certain foods causes problems with CFS or Fibro, have you? I havent tried this yet. What type of Doctor have you found that has helped you the most? I havent found one.
Guest guest
RE: disability Once my doctor put me out on disability my employer's STD (short term disability) insurance took over. Unfortunately, that only covered the first 6 months I was out. I applied for LTD (Long term dis) in January and was denied. They had received responses from 2 of the 10 doctors I had seen and said neither one of them indicated a " range of motion " problem that would interfere with my " sedentary " job. I appealed their denial, sending more information and they denied me again still quoting " no range of motion " problems. I filed another appeal mid-July and they are supposed to answer in 45 days. So far no answer. But, if they deny me again I'll get an attorney to fight them. You know, I think it's pretty normal for an insurance company to deny claims. After all, why would they want to pay anybody anything? They want to hang onto their money as long as possible and I'll bet most people get discouraged and give up. But they don't know who they're dealing with here! At this point my " back pay " would be close to $50k so I'm going to hang on like a pit bull!! Also, I applied for Social Security disability at the end of August. You can apply after being disabled for 6 months but I waited 'cuz I had high expectations of getting my LTD money. They can take up to 6 months to answer but, again, I have expectations here that it won't be that long. My mother-in-law applied for SS awhile ago and they sent her a check within 2 months. > > Bucholz658@c... > > Age range: 30 > > > > > > Male/female: female > > What are the symptoms? pain, knots in muscles especially in my back, > fatigue, irritability. > > Has you illness been diagnosed? yes > > How long did you suffer before you got help? not sure, I don't > remember > > Is there a time that you can remember when it started? no > > Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight.
