Nurse Practitioners provide a large portion of health services to migrant workers and their families. How is the title " nurse practitioner " being translated into Spanish? We've been using 'enfermero/a especialista' but have recently been advised to use 'enfermero/a practicante'. Neither term really reflects 'nurse practitioner' too well. In the clinic setting, most clients use the title 'doctor/a' but that is usually not the correct title and we don't want to promote that inaccuracy. We're creating a brief brochure explaining NP services, so we want to put into print a title that is as meaningful and accurate as possible. What are other folks using? Gracias.
