Anyhow, I have had FMS for 12 years. Often my legs are the most painful part of my whole body. I would guess leg pain is very " normal " . Usually my leg pain is worse the evening or day after sitting for a longer period of time without being able to stand up, such as in a car and especially a car where your hips are lower than you knees when sitting, or walking more than usual, or walking on a hard surface such as tile or cement. Soaking your legs in a hot tub of water really helps. There are some essential oils that you can add a drop or two, to help reduce muscle spasems, or add salt to draw out excess lactic acid. A massage on the legs hurts like hell, but afterwards the pain is very much reduced. Sometimes when the legs hurt so much, you need to get out and walk for at least 5 min, but maybe 10 to get the circulation going. I hope this has helped. Guest guest
Rhonda, thanks for your input, I am also on Neurontin 1800 mg. I don't think that it is working for me. Of course, maybe it is in a small way, and if I stop taking it will some new pain show up somewhere else.Hmmmmm. Thanks
Guest guest
Mine started out as burning pain in the bottoms of my feet. The pain, w/o burning, is now also in my ankles. I could walk, but would rather not because of the pain. I had a nerve conduction study done on my feet & legs, showing nerve damage in my feet. The neuro put me on Neurontin. Since starting it, the pain has gone away, but I always know when I have missed a dose because my feet and ankles start to hurt. Rhonda Re: painful legs I have pain in my legs most all the time. Some days I can hardly walk.
