There's not really much knew to report. had a pretty rotten day yesterday after receiving 2 liters of IV fluids on Thursday. He was in some pain and so bloated he could hardly eat or drink. He'd gained about 9 lbs in 2 days which I suspect was all fluid because this morning he'd lost 2. He seems to be feeling a little better today than yesterday.

They also removed about 3 staples on Thursday and used Iodoform to pack the open spot of his incision. They asked me if I could do it and I said sure. Well Thursday night I could not. ended up doing it. I don't know how because he has a MUCH weaker stomach than I do! I did manage to do it yesterday and then told him to call the home health people! A nurse came out today, cleaned the wound with some saline and repacked it...and showed me how to do all of the above. I feel a little better about doing it now although the idea of shoving something INSIDE my husband's abdomen does NOT thrill me! LOL I told him this morning in some ways I'm glad this his him going through this and not me because there is NO way he'd ever be able to do the things to me that I've had to do to him! This is all the stuff nobody tells about you when you say 'I do.' LOL

Over all he's doing well. He gets frustrated because he wants to feel better NOW. It's only been 3 weeks and he is doing better at this stage of the game than a lot of people. I just took a picture of him today so check out the links to my photobucket page for a current pic. He looks 100% different than he did 3 weeks. I even noticed the other morning that he has freckles on his forehead! I had never noticed them before.
