Guest guest
As I stated in my post to Dawn, I too had " growing pains " . They started when I was about 11, I believe. Only I actually grew. When I was 12, I grew 6 inches in a year, more or less. Then crept up the last 3/4 of an inch a few years later, to my present height of 5'9 " . Interesting. I wonder if this is going to be another thing common to the majority of us. Take care,

Guest guest
this is really strange. I had a friend call me yesterday asking me to look up stuff about growing pains. I never heard of it. Now I see posts about it. Her son has them, and asked what she could do help him. He is umm 7 I believe. Any suggestions? They have tried the soaking in bath tub. But he still wakes up in the night screaming. ~~~Tami~~~
Guest guest
My mom used to have me eat bananas every day to combat the night leg cramping of the growing pains. And I think this is when I ended up first going to the chiropractor. I don't know if this helps or not. > this is really strange. Guest guest
Tami~ My kids are 11, 9, 8, and 6 and they also have had or having growing pains. I give them Motrin and if they are still in pain I do the motrin and after 2-3 hrs I give them tylenol. I just keep alternating until the pains stop. I hope this works for your friend if she tries it. ~ Tami hummycherub@...> wrote: this is really strange. I had a friend call me yesterday asking me to look up stuff about growing pains. Guest guest
My son used to wake up screaming in pain . It took forever to get a diagnosis.........when he was in first grade. The bottom line was that his muscles and bones were not growing at the same speed, so he would get horrible leg cramps at night. Physical therapy to stretch his ligaments and muscles " cured " him in less than 6 months! His pediatrician tried to convince me all the while that he just wanted attention !
