Hickory:  Some day they're going to erect a statue to me in this town, and -

Aunt Em:  Well, don't start posing for it now.Excerpt from The Wizard of Oz, MGM Studios, Hollywood, CA  1939

I attended the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors

Public Input Meeting on Monday night.  This is the periodic meeting

that is open to the public for comments on county issues.  In other

words, at the risk of sarcasm, it's a gripe session.Thankfully, non-controversial proclamations like the National Donate Life Month resolution are covered at the beginning of the meeting.

Here is a link to video of the presentation:http://loudoun.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=35 & clip_id=1204 & meta_id=45724

I got to speak extemporaneously for a couple minutes to an audience of about 100 and a cable tv audience of undoubtedly

several million, and all in all, it went pretty well.  I hope some

people are moved to take action on becoming organ donors as a result. The proclamation is now on display at the Ashburn Library for the month.I'm glad I volunteered

to do this.  The cause is important, and I hope they ask me to do

things like this again.  I did have one person promise to sign up, and

hopefully, it happened. Tom
