Guest guest
, I have read that this is not uncommon in FMS....sitting in the car with the A/C on and just breathing in the cold air will set this off. The pain is so intense, that if I am standing up, I immediately fall to the ground in pain, nearly pass out (I tell my husband that the pain is so bad I feel like I am leaving my body) the pain is shooting, intense pain throughout my left jaw. When the dentist put cold air on my teeth, my entire body goes into spasms, I feel like I levitated in the air for about 3 seconds....and knocked the tray and lights over (aside from biting his finger). I've told my dentist that if it doesn't go away after a short while that i'll go to the ER...he said 'they won't DO anything'. Well, neither is he--and i've told him he is a sadist!! I went to a root canal specialist when this first started--and he said that a root canal would make the pain WORSE! There have been weekends that I was so afraid to put anything in my mouth (food or water), I drank warm ensure with a straw. One night, I got out a pair of pliers (warmed them up) and started pulling on my teeth--I felt like I had to get the damned teeth out of there. Sometimes, the pain is so bad, that if I had a gun--I swear i'd blow my jaw/teeth off. Novacaine will work, but then when it wears off, i'm in varying degrees of tooth/jaw pain for about 2 weeks. I'd go to the dentist every day for novacaine injections if I could. -2 kmnewberry@... _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
