Guest guest
did you have any coffee, tea, soda pop, toothpaste on a tooth brush, chocolate or OJ prior to the morning saliva test? Are you on any adrenal supplements or steroidss? Lab Results/2nd Post Hi, I posted these earlier but didn't get any replies. :0( After I post them I'll go and sit in the corner. 7:00-8:00 AM 27 Elevated (13-24nM) 11:00-12:00 PM 3 Depressed (5-10nM) 4:00-5:00 PM 7 Normal (3-8nM) 11:00-11:59 PM 1 Normal (1-4nM) My DHEA was 2 Depressed (Adults (M/F) 3-10 My dr said to take 7-keto (25 mgs) and to take melatonin to help me to fall asleep. I tried the melatonin but I'm still wide awake at midnight. Which means I'm tired in the morning. I'd appreciate any help on this matter. (I hate drs) Thanks, Sue in dreary Austin, Tx. Guest guest
Hi , What I meant by 'sitting in the corner' was that I don't post often so I thought maybe y'all don't answer some of the posts? I do read all of the posts and I have learned more on this site than I have from my drs. I know that by being with this group, I will figure out how to heal myself and I hope the same for everyone of you and the many others that are not aware of this site. I couldn't take Armour thyroid. I was at 2 1/2 grains of it from Dr. Manzanero but when we ran my lab work it was: Free T3 8.6!! (2.3- 4.2), Free T4 2.5!! and my TSH was 0.01 We dropped it down to 1 1/2 grains and the lab work 8 weeks later was: Free T4 5.4 (better but way too high) Free T3 was down to 1.8 (still too high) and my TSH was <0.01. I did order Thyrodine and it came today. My temp in the morning is always 97.4-6 so I'll see how these tablets do. When I took it a bit ago, my hands were so cold but now they are warming up.....I'll post how they work and I hope I can fix this thyroid/adrenal issue. Thank you for your reply. Guest guest
Hi Jamy, I didn't eat or drink a thing before I did the morning saliva test. Dr. Manzanero said I could take melatonin before bed and my chiropractor said I shouldn't take that but to take the phosphatidylserine after dinner. The melatonin does nothing for me and I'm going to see what others here say to take. I've read that others like the phosphatidylserine. My dr said I need to wind down at night but my lab results show normal at midnight.... So, does something occur right after midnight? Drs....sheesh Thanks for any ideas. I'll check this site after the weekend since I " ll be gone for the weekend. Guest guest
PS I was not taking anything for my adrenals when the lab work was drawn. Guest guest
most people have some level of adrenal fatigue till the thyroid meds are optimised. Have you had your ferritin, b-12 and folic acid checked? I am a big believer in phosphatidyl serine. It helps but so does B vitamins, vitamin C and Co-Q-10 Re: Lab Results/2nd Post Hi Jamy, I didn't eat or drink a thing before I did the morning saliva test.
