Guest guest
Lynn, I am allergic to Plaquenil, and can't take it as it causes a rash, have you checked with your doctor to see if this might be the case with you? I never know untill I try to take a new medicine if I am going to be able to untill I get the rash, then it's always a struggle to get it under control again. C. Welcome. They won't allow me the creams either. I do know that there is a purple colored concealer out there, and I am sorry I don't know who makes it that my sister in law used for her rosacea that worked very well. If you can find some that might work well under your regular makeup. At this point I just use a regular concealer when I do wear makeup. Guest guest
>Do you think you could conclude that if a person shows signs of >hyperthyroidism on dosages less than 3 grains, that is prima facie >evidence that the person has something else wrong with them, such >as adrenal insufficiency, anemia, or nutritional imbalances? Hi Lynn. Lynn, I have personally observed this very prima facie, first site evidence all the time since this site started 2 1/2 years ago...namely that when most anyone has had hyper-like symptoms under 3 grains, it is definitely and USUALLY pointing to other issues, such as low Ferritin or adrenal insufficiency. Also, from my own experience.......when I had gotten up to 2 grains, I thought I had reached my optimal dose. My energy level was profoundly different than before, as was my hair softer, oilier on the roots, less low-grade depression...on and on. Yet......I also had heard that the minimum dose was 3 grains and higher before the TSH and labs came into existance. SO........I pushed the limit. I raised my dose 1/4 grain at a time, holding each dose. When I got up to 3 grains, VOILA! No hyper and even MORE benefits...the most obvious that I could EAT more without gaining so much weight as before. I am now holding at 3 1/4 grains....and will be experimenting with 3 1/2 grains again eventually. And when you mention a potential " anti-thyroid factor that kills off the T3 prematurely " ---to me, that sounds like a person who isn't getting enough T3 in the first place.....
