Guest guest
RE: When you do chose a new doctor, make sure he/she is affiliated with the transplant hospital of your choice, (better yet, a part of the actual transplant team). This makes all the difference in the world in your ongoing care. Listing is easier, getting proper care is easier, they always consult with the transplant team before making any major decisions. It’s just makes your life easier and Healthier! HTH ======================== If at all possible, I definitely agree. My hep specialist (O’Leary) is also part of the same liver consultant group at Baylor. With her referring me for evaluation, half the battle was won. It was just assumed that I needed to be on the list. I still had to talk to the social worker, etc. but it almost felt like a formality.
