RE: When you do chose

a new doctor, make sure he/she is affiliated with the transplant hospital of

your choice, (better yet, a part of the actual transplant team). This

makes all the difference in the world in your ongoing care. Listing is

easier, getting proper care is easier, they always consult with the transplant

team before making any major decisions. It’s just makes your life easier

and Healthier! HTH

If at

all possible, I definitely agree. My hep specialist (O’Leary) is also part of

the same liver consultant group at Baylor. With her referring me for

evaluation, half the battle was won. It was just assumed that I needed to be on

the list. I still had to talk to the social worker, etc. but it almost felt

like a formality.
