Guest guest
Is there anyway that increasing one's thyroid hormone--nature-throid, causes an increase in blood pressure? My physician gave me 1/2 grain and refused to increase as he says my reports are normal. I have upped it by 1/2 grain every two weeks. I am now at 1 1/2 grains and in the last 10 days or so, my blood pressure has increased. I have been on Altace 2.5 mg for one year and my BP has been under control. I used to walk an hour a day until late October when I stopped as I broke a bone in my heel. I have had a lot of demands from an ailing 87 year old mother since then and have not started my walking again. Of course, I have gained 10 pounds. I realize that not walking and gaining weight could be responsible for the high BP. However, I thought I should check out the increased thyroid. I just joined a health club cause it is still snowing here in Canada and start next week:>) I would appreciate anyone's comments.
