Guest guest
Just thought I'd join in and let you know I'mon Facebook too :0 And while I'm here I'd like to ask for some info please Brad has his first Fibro Scan last Friday and I spoke with a doc about it and he said something along these lines - The machine rates in kilopascals (sp?) up to 75. Anything below 7 is classed as fibrosis, 7-9 is significant fibrosis, above 9 is advanced fibrosis. (Heck knows what it would mean to have a reading of 50+?!) Brad's score was 10.6 and they imagine there will be signs of cirrhosis too but he couldn't tell me exactly (registrar vs specialist I imagine). So anyway, this puts him at stage 3-4 which is a little better than a definate stage 4 I suppose. Can anyone tell me, once the PSC has advanced from say, Stage 1 (which we never knew about Brad having anyway) and is at Stage 3-4, can it still move slowly or does the rate progress with each stage? I know the whole deal about it being different with each person but if I dare ask if there is a general rule of thumb??? Thanks everyone
