That's great to hear Deb! I think summer is a great time to get started

eating vegetarian or vegan. Keep us posted on how it goes ok? I'd love to

hear about it. I don't have IBS and for me, it's really working out well. I

even add a little unprocessed bran to my hot cereals once in a while. I've

been vegan for a week now, I'm not bored at all in fact I'm happier about

what I'm eating :)

Oh and I saw on the news a couple days ago a story about red fruits like

cherries, strawberries, watermelon etc and it said that the red fruits

contain some pain killing substance (no wonder I have beeen crazy for

strawberries the last few years) and they said that eating about 35 cherries

is the same as taking an asprin as far as pain relief. Interesting huh? I

just thought I'd mention it, maybe later I'll go get some articles from the

web and find out more.

Thanks for the farm stories too, when I was 18 and 19 years old, I lived and

worked on an organic farm while I went to school. What a great experience. I

wish more people could put in a little " farm time " in their lives, I think

they would like it.

Deb,

I've been vegetarian for 23 years and vegan for 8. I think the only

FMS symptom from which I do not suffer horribly is IBS or ANY GI

problems. I don't know if there is a connection, but I'm the only

vegetarian in my family, and they all have stomach/GI aflictions.

Good Luck,
