I think that the Kahler Inn and Suites is not the same thing as the

Kahler Grand Hotel, which is the one that's right across the street and

is all old. I think the Inn and Suites is newer (though still close and

connected to Mayo). I haven't stayed at either, but I get the sense

that probably the Inn and Suites is newer and therefore better.

Did you get my email about meeting up? I'd love to? I know Mayo like

the back of my hand. I love it!

My advice is to be proactive. My GI doctor is Dr. Sandborn, and last

time I went he wanted me to just see his nurse practitioner. I told

them that I didn't fly all the way from Chicago to see a nurse

practitioner, I wanted to see Dr. Sandborn, and so they brought him in

to see me. But if I hadn't insisted, I wouldn't have seen him. It can

be a problem with big-shot doctors sometimes. Another tip is that if

you are done early with one appointment and you have time before your

next one (even if it's a procedure), go ahead to the next one, they

will often squeeze you in early. It depends on how busy they are, but

I've had some luck with that. It's nice to have it all done. Generally,

I have found that they are very accommodating when you ask for stuff.

Be in touch if you want to meet up and you want more Mayo tips!!

There's a great massage place too if you're into that and I can

recommend a particular therapist.

> Hi, all. I suppose this is a bit late to be asking, but I'm

scheduled to go out to Mayo Rochester at the end of the week. I'm a

veteran of Mayo ville, but Rochester's a whole new thing for

me! Anyhow, we made reservations at Kahler Inn and Suites. Does

anyone know anything about them? Are we staying at an okay place, is

it near enough to the Mayo Clinic and, hopefully and most importantly,

is the Inn a clean one? :)
