Hi GOOD friends

I wanted to let you know that we got our power back on today in

Winter Park, Florida. We still have a trail of destruction all over

our city, but we are getting back on our feet. SInce I have not been

able to read all your posts as I am on dial up for a short time every

day, I want to say THANK YOU for all your prayers for my city and all

of Florida. YOU are what saved us.

We all still need to pray for my neighbors to the south who are still

hurting badly.

I also want to say that, once I can get back on my feet, I hope to

keep up better with all your situations. Having been a Lupie for

almost 20 years, I feel the pain of all of you. Lupus is not easy in

any way and I know all of you are dealing with daily difficulties in

your own lives.

I know I have not been good about keeping up as I had my son's skull

fracture, then my mom's accident and now this devastating hurricane.

On top of it all, I am fighting a return of pericarditis from all the

stress of this whole summer.

We had dubbed it the Bummer Summer.. in more than one way.. but

Charley being the biggest reason, of course.

I also want to say that I love all of you for being my friends in all

this. When you are fighting lupus yourself, it says alot for a group

who show support and strength for their fellow lupies.

THANK YOU and love to each and every one of you. I pray that God will

give you all relief from illness and the very best quality of life

you can have.
