Guest guest
From The Dallas Morning News - At The Edge of Life is an incredible series written by Lee Hancock, with beautiful photos taken by Sonya N. Hebert. At the center are the clinicians and patients of the Baylor University Medical Center's Palliative Care Team. Please read this series, yes it’s very sad, but this subject should be addressed long before it becomes time. With our parents entering that age and so many of us having PSC, it’s a valuable resource for each of us. The story has 5 parts, (you’re lucky to have it all in one place, we only had one part a day in the newspaper). At the bottom of the page, you’ll see 11 Questions to help you plan your medical wishes. Please read that too, go through it twice, click all Yes, then click all NO and read and learn about what can happen if you don’t have a plan in place. I know I’m asking a lot of you, this takes time, but I think you’ll fell better about doing it. Then like they say about organ donation - tell your family about your decision. This might be a good place to address this subject with your parents too. You can say; I did this, do you want to too? http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spe/2008/edgeoflife/ Barb in Texas
