Guest guest
I would say that is exactly how I feel if I have any sort of infection even a boil, which I suffer from. If the pain in my back and upper abdomen becomes excruciating I would suspect a cholangitis attack. In the past I had brown urine and yellow eyes with my cholangitis attack. Sometimes I just go get my blood work done if I'm feeling particularly awful. Hope that helps a little, Sorry to hear of your suffering. Guest guest
Could be cholangitis (although not what I’ve experienced). There are also some pretty nasty bugs going around. Take a look at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/ken, for example. Guest guest
I will if it gets any worse. Right now it’s pretty low grade. The last two times I felt like this I went to the hospital after it hit 100, and my liver numbers were really good. They gave me antibiotics just in case, and I did start feeling better. But if the liver numbers aren’t up they mostly scratch their heads and go, “I dunno.” Nita From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of sikeea_graham Sent: Sunday, February 22, 2009 9:27 PM To: Subject: Re: feeling really crummy >How long have you been feeling like this? Guest guest
Nita, Hi! I'm not entirely convinced there is " typical " in PSC, but for what it's worth, my headaches elevate to the point where it's like the worst migraine I've ever had and it takes large doses of intravenous morphine generally to break them. That being said, I have a headache almost all of the time (something the doctors are still looking into). As to the joint pain, I almost always have body aches (like the severe flu). I'm not sure if they're worse or stronger during a cholangitis attack or not. Usually what sends me to the ER for Cholangitis is the other symptoms, the shaking, fever, unable to keep down any foods or liquids, head pain, stomach/ruq/abdomen pain, etc. Hope this helps! Sandi in VA p.s. How are you feeling today? Any better?
