Guest guest
I would say that is exactly how I feel if I have any sort of infection even a boil, which I suffer from. If the pain in my back and upper abdomen becomes excruciating I would suspect a cholangitis attack. In the past I had brown urine and yellow eyes with my cholangitis attack. Sometimes I just go get my blood work done if I'm feeling particularly awful. Hope that helps a little, Sorry to hear of your suffering. Guest guest
Could be cholangitis (although not what I’ve experienced). There are also some pretty nasty bugs going around. Take a look at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/ken, for example. Guest guest
Anita, Hi. I'm hoping that you're feeling much better by the time you read this. For what it's worth, it sounds like a cholangitis attack to me. Any chance you could get an appointment with a doc near you to check things out if you're still not feeling well? Hope you're right as rain soon! Sandi in VA

Guest guest
Anita, My cholangitis attacks are like that. I do not have the joint aches and headaches though. The rest is pretty much accurate. Guest guest
I will if it gets any worse. Right now it’s pretty low grade. The last two times I felt like this I went to the hospital after it hit 100, and my liver numbers were really good. They gave me antibiotics just in case, and I did start feeling better. But if the liver numbers aren’t up they mostly scratch their heads and go, “I dunno.” Nita From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of sikeea_graham Sent: Sunday, February 22, 2009 9:27 PM To: Subject: Re: feeling really crummy >How long have you been feeling like this? Guest guest
Hi Sandy, So, when you have a cholangitis attack, you get the painful joints and headachy feeling, too? The drs have never said anything to me about – yeah, that’s typical. And if it is typical I’d like to know why it took them 5 years of these infections to diagnose me. Nita ==================== Hi. Guest guest
Hi there, I am not sure I have the best information, as I am still fairly new to this. But I will say those symptoms are exactly what I was experiencing when I was first seen and diagnosed. Though I haven't had those symptoms since then, they do describe what I felt, which was later called a cholangitis attack. I hope you feel better soon! ee > > Hi guys, > > > > I'm not feeling at all well tonight - running a fever, though that's down a

Guest guest
Thanks everyone for answering… I talked to my pre-transplant coordinator and she talked to the Dr, who had me go in to the hospital ER. Of course, by the time I got down there my temp was only 99.4. For me that’s still 2 degrees, but they never pay attention to that. The liver enzymes were still low, tho one of them was somewhat elevated. White count was low. That’s something that just bugs me about my body – Before I was diagnosed and got my biliary drain, I went through periodic episodes where my fever was 103, horrible chills, and all the other symptoms I mentioned the other day. Liver enzymes were elevated, but my white count – nothing. Barely elevated. Anyway, yesterday afternoon the Dr said that it was nothing – spiking to 101 is nothing? They gave me hydrocodone for pain and fever, and sent me home. Mind, this is the 3rd most prestigious liver center in the country. I started getting some mild chills before I left and the nurse took my temp a second time. It was back up to 100.1. Oh well, It’s another trip to the hospital so a can document continuing problems for the UNOS people. Anita
