you know , thats the first I had ever heard of humans getting

parvo, it has certainly opened my eyes to the possibilities of

infection, etc, of different viral infections. I jave been looking

things up on it, and it makes one wonder exactly where we " got " our

FMS and CFS symptoms from...past infections, surgeries, trauma,

etc...

> Mare, it is a different strain. It's worse in animals. As far as

parvo goes in humans, I must have never been exposed to it as a

child. My children could have had it and it went it's normal viral

course but it got me good. I had a rash that was like a lacey type

of a rash on my torso and legs. Then I had bad flu like symptoms

followed by unbelievable fatigue and arthralgia. (Gee, similar to

what I have now but it was a bit worse then). I was bedridden for

about 6 months and then one day I woke up and it was gone. Then two

years ago after my daughter was born, I got it again. They used to

say that once you get it you are immune but my bloodtests showed that

I had a past and present infection from parvo.

Mare - exactly! It makes me wonder. I know I've always had health problems but

I was viewed by friends and family as the person who can get anything weird. I

had mono really bad when I was 17. I have had many many miscarriages (but I do

have two children). My losses were unexplained. I live in an area of NJ where

tick bites are common and have had lyme disease twice. I caught that parvovirus

B19 in 1997. I've had gallstones and kidney stones 3 times. That's the health

problems. I've also had trauma stuff - my mom died of breast cancer at 50 and

that was hard for me. All the miscarriages, too - so I wonder what. I noticed

this time that although I always feel pretty crappy - I was doing okay. I was

taking my 12 year old to his baseball games this summer every night while

watching my 3 year old. As soon as his season ended and I had nothing I had to

do, I had a flare. Now I'm starting to feel a bit better in the fatigue

department but the aches and pains are still there - they are always there but I

don't have to tell anyone here that, right?
