Guest guest
I just read a report from a CT scan I had last year, and it made an incidental note of " mild rotatory scoliosis " . I also noticed on another report it said that I had degenerative bone disease, but my doctors haven't really discussed either of these with me. I'll have to ask them about it next time I go in especially since I've been having quite a bit of back pain recently. As far as I know I didn't have scoliosis, bone disease, or PSC as a kid though, so this may not be the same thing... athan
Guest guest
Although I am an adult I have been fighting degenerative disc and joint disease since I was 13 and I have adult onset Scoliosis, not bad though, just enough of a twist to get the diagnosis, along with the PSC. Most of my joints are effected by the degeneration but it is not considered RA and I have consistently tested NEgative for RA. No one has ever tied the two together for me. Dawn > > Hi, > > Wesley has had PSC since he was 1 years old ( very rare ). Ulcerative > Colitis at the same time. I read that the MMP-3 gene etc etc etc > reasearch links this to a susceptibility to PSC. > > Now Wesley has Adolescent Scoliosis which can be caused by the same > MMP-3 gene problem which causes inflammation in the bones ( just like > the liver )and causes degenerative bone disease which in turn causes > scoliosis. > > I am taking him to s Hopkins ASAP! > > Just wondered who else in this group may have both diseases ??? > > MARNA and WESLEY ( almost 14....13 years of PSC ...third stage or > worse) >
