MMP-3 gene link to PSC and Scoliosis...anybody else have both ?

Hi,

Wesley has had PSC since he was 1 years old ( very rare ). Ulcerative

Colitis at the same time. I read that the MMP-3 gene etc etc etc

reasearch links this to a susceptibility to PSC.

Now Wesley has Adolescent Scoliosis which can be caused by the same

MMP-3 gene problem which causes inflammation in the bones ( just like

the liver )and causes degenerative bone disease which in turn causes

scoliosis.

I am taking him to s Hopkins ASAP!

Just wondered who else in this group may have both diseases ???

MARNA and WESLEY ( almost 14....13 years of PSC ...third stage or

worse)
