Hopefully the fluid will go away pretty soon. I know mine all left in one night. I was up about every 15 minutes or so peeing. I was still in the hospital so I had to pee in the little bottle so they could keep track of my output. After a while I started emptying the thing myself because I was tired of calling the nurse to do it! I probably filled it five times that night (it held about a quart) and in the morning the fluid was all gone! That was a great feeling! athan > He had quit a bit of fluid before the transplant and now it's seeping out of his incision. The nurses and doctors have all said that it's completely normal and that his incision looks really good. He just says it's kind of a weird feeling to have stuff leaking out of your body! And it's kind of a pain to keep changing his dressing every few minutes. It's not a bad if he's sitting still but when he gets up and moves around it pours. > > He's doing extremely well and we both appreciate everyone's love and support so much! > > > > ------------------------------------ > >

Guest guest
Bobbi, You are both in my prayers. I have been following your story but haven't commented. Thank you for sharing this with us. The seeping is normal for people who had severe ascities before transplant. I remember when Jim White (not active now) had the exact same problem. We met him the following year when we were visiting California. He looked so healthy no one could have guessed he had ever been so close to death. I am so happy that things are getting better. I'm just smiling all over thinking about it.
