The liver is doing just great and so is he. Reading Maureen's posts takes me right back to when we were waiting for the transplant. There was a time when I was sure he would die before a liver ever became available. It sure wasn't fun watching Dave fade away. Since transplant, life has never been better. He has never had any set backs and continues to live a very healthy productive life. He has changed jobs a couple of times and I'm sure his co-workers aren't even aware that he's had a transplant. In ten years I don't think he's missed any more than a total of 3 or 4 days due to illness. We celebrated by spending the week end in Toronto (definitely not anywhere near the hospital) and will be really celebrating in February when we are going on a Carribean cruise. To all of you waiting just try and hang in there. The waiting is definitely the very worst part. The rest is a breeze. edith
