Guest guest
Richelle, To the best of my understanding (and somebody please correct me if I'm wrong) all Urso is actually Actigall. It comes in different formulations though, Ursodiol, Actigall and Urso Forte. Don't know if I'm right or not, but there's what I " m thinking for what it's worth! Guest guest
You are right… mostly. Ursodiol is the generic, Actigall is the brand name – so is Urso Forte. ================= To the best of my understanding (and somebody please correct me if I'm wrong) all Urso is actually Actigall. Guest guest
- I was actually looking at the FDA listings tonight regarding Urso tonight while looking for a cheaper alternative. Ursodiol is the active ingredient in Urso, Urso Forte and Actigall as well as Ursodiol. As far as Urso and Urso Forte, they do not have theraputic equivalents according to the FDA. This is somewhat confusing. I seem to recall that we discussed bioavailabilty of Ursodiol and one point and I believe someone mentioned the fact that it is not as effective. Am I right about that?
