I think you are approaching this very level headed and

doing the right thing. Instead of staying at work and

finding a doctor who could understand what I was going

through I just stopped going to work. I have always

been one who gives 110% at work and they just kept

taking advantage of me even when I would tell them I

could not keep the pace up that they were throwing my

way. I was a cook at a very busy resturant and they

took advantage of my past management skills and were

leaving me short handed so they could save money on

payroll not caring if they were killing me which was

how I felt. When I would try to take a day off they

would actually bully me. So I just didn't show up one

day and now I am unable to collect unemployment. So

again I think you are doing the right thing wish I had

done it your way.

Will she support you with a part time work note? When I had major

surgery a few years ago, I didn't have a doctor locally (the surgery was

done out of state) to help support me about going back to work. I tried

to go back way too early and had severe fatigue. I got my local doctor

to write me a note for work. She said it was depression from the

surgery which was fine (although I think it was just more surgery

fatigue and less depression), but she did support me for several notes

for half days, and then 3/4 days. See if your doctor will do a few days

off full time, and then a few weeks of half days.

She thinks I might get used to not working and feel

This is not necessarily true. I ended up going back to work full time,

and it wasn't until I put myself into a major flare that I ended up

having to quit work. That was almost a year later. taking a break is

just that, taking a break.

If your stress won't change, then maybe finding an easier job would be

good in the long run, but that has nothing to do with now. If you are

that down, taking a break will be good for you, and help you to judge

whether you need to change things on down the line. There are plenty of

people who take time off from work, get better and go back. Good luck.
