Guest guest
Hello all. I have a question regarding the effect of Isocort on DHEA. My relative was treated for prostate cancer a few years ago. Now he is very hypothyroid and has low adrenals based on bottom range levels of saliva cortisol and below range level of DHEA. He can not take thryroid meds because of low cortisol and needs to treat low adrenals first. He tried Cortef but his blood pressure went up, tried Deltacortril but had skipped beats and palpitations. The only option available left to support the adrenals is Isocort. The potention problem is that because isocort is made from Adrenal Cortex, which could increase DHEA levels and is not recommeded for people with prostate cancer. My question is: Does Isocort increase DHEA levels or not? I would love to hear from people who are or were on isocort and have their results of DHEA before and after taking isocort. Also, does isocort increase the levels of sex hormones? Thanks in advance,
