Guest guest
Hi Sue: I could relate to your post. I am 51 and have had mitral valve prolapse causing a rapid heart-rate for almost thirty years. Fortunately a good East Coast doctor (when I was living in Philadelphia and had great medical insurance...ooooh...those were the days *sigh*) put me on Inderal which is a safe, dependable drug that has been around for more than 30 years. Now my resting heart-rate is usually about 75-80 beats per minute. Did your doctors ever tell you that your valve would have to replaced? Do you know if a mitral valve prolapse can just stay the same or does it get worse with age? Curious, Lynne --- catzrus2@... wrote: > Hi Em, > Have you been checked for mitral valve prolapse? Might be worth checking out. Sue > > __________________________________________________
