Missy,

It was probably salmon roe. I have yet to try it cause it reminds me of my

fishing days with my dad too :-) And I eat cooked fish as well-- especially

salmon, tuna and mussels. The omega-3 fatty acids are supposed to be super

good for you.

There are also some fabulous vegetarian sushi rolls and dishes-- I love

cucumber and avocado rolls and edamame is super yummy (with low sodium soy

sauce, of course!) :-)

You probably got some mackerel. That is really strong. Stay away from the

stuff you don't like and enjoy what you do. I love Salmon, Yellowtail and Tuna

as well as some of the vegetarian rolls.

Re: Re: Diet Changes SUSHI

I also still eat some fish. I just can't give up sushi :-)

You are my hero~ I am also a vegan and I tried sushi for the first time 3

months ago while at my doc in NYC. It was really good until I hit one peice

of fish that reminded me of the baitfish that they used on the bluefish boats

when I was a child. It had such a strong odor... I absolutely gagged. How

do you swallow it????? Now my father, who is a non-vegan thinks it is

hilarious to harass me when we go out to eat by telling me things

like... " hey, there is a pet shop across the street...maybe you want to get

some goldfish for takeout. "

99% of my diet is just vegan, but I do so enjoy fish...cooked.
