Guest guest
Music, it sounds stupid I know, but music is so great. It's such a thrilling experience when you feel a song is tuned to your emotions, to your very self, in a particular moment, and then you start feeling better, as if music is actually " healing " you. Sorry for the disperse comment, but I just had to write this. I've been listening to U2's Unforgettable Fire album a lot since I was diagnosed fibromyalgia a few days ago. And the lyrics, sometimes are so uplifting and soothing..: From 'A Sort of Homecoming': And you know it's time to go Through the sleet and driving snow Across the fields of mourning to a light that's in the distance. And you hunger for the time Time to heal, 'desire' time And your earth moves beneath your own dream landscape. (...) Oh, oh on borderland we run And still we run, we run and don't look back From " MLK " : Sleep, sleep tonight And may your dreams be realised. If the thunder cloud passes rain So let it rain, rain down on he. So let it be. So let it be. Sleep, sleep tonight And may your dreams be realised. If the thunder cloud passes rain So let it rain, let it rain Rain down on he. Thanks.
Guest guest
I have to agree. I love music. I listen to it all the time. When I have a major flare I have the radio turned into my fav. station or a cd in the cd player. Even when I'm not in a flare I am listening to music. Music has been my life since I was 5. I started singing at 5 and I play 5 instruments, but I only have the piano now and that's tough to play sometimes. I no longer have the flute, but I am looking on e-bay for one fairly inexpensive. They are so expensive. I played the trumpet, coronet, F horn, & the baritone. When I feel up to it, I try to get a piano lesson in for the kid. So far, the 2 oldest have been very interested in it. The 2 youngest isn't as excited. Music is very therapeutic. Everyone can relate to one song at least most of the time you can relate to more. It all depends on what experiences you have had and who & what is in your life. It's amazing how a 4-5 min. song can touch you in such a way that stirs at your emotions. Well, I just wanted to share my side of music. Thank-you Zambruno for the topic. Everyone have a wonderful weekend. Sending wishes for a pain-free weekend, ~ ---------------------------------
