Guest guest
What a great idea! A veg diet for all! I only say this because I have already made the switch! It was originally for the animals sake, but quickly became my sake, as my health did a complete turn around. It has been 2 years and 3 months since I have lifted red meat or pork on a fork. Now I sport T shirts with Piggies on them that say " I ain't got no spare ribs! " Aside from all of that, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how great you can feel without the meats. Additionally, as a full blown vegetarian, you always have room for those nasty deserts! That is the plus! I just remembered that I bought donuts yesterday, so guess where I am headed??? If you need any idea's just give a holler! It is so easy to be a vegan in the summer~Great time to start. Plus, although everyone is different, I hate the hamburgers, etc., that are made to taste like meat...They taste like...hmmm can't say the word I am looking for. But, the veggie burgers by morning star farms are superb on the grill. Missy

Guest guest
Hi new to the group... I want my husband to try this all raw fruit and vegetable diet. He has fibro. He also has a great many other health issues... but, I do not know if he can do this diet. He is diabetic. (has horrible eating habits! I am not sure if he can handle all fruits and vegetables and keep his sugar level in control. (who am I kidding... its not incontrol now.) I think that all of his illnesses feed off the other. If his sugar is high.. His fibromyalgia flares up and if He is in a depressed state (His bi-polar) then his fibromyalgia flares up and his sugar is high. Find the root to all of these health problems would be wonderful for Him! (And me too! :-) I just try to be supportive at all times... However, I get extremely discouraged when he doesn't want to find something that will possibly help. He thinks its easier to just stay in bed. Then he doesn't have to deal with life. Any one with Diabetes try the raw vegetable and fruit diet? thanks, TJ --- avonrepjackie avonrepjackie@...> wrote: > > > > > I personally can confirm that eating raw fruits > and vegetables will > have a direct affect on FMS/CFS symptoms. Guest guest
Go Jackie!! I know when I slip up on my diet I feel it. It is amazing to me that food has such an affect on our bodies. I would of never thought that it would make such a huge difference in my life. Jackie, any support you need to stay on this diet....I will be there for you. It is hard at times, especially if you have a family that eats stuff like (cookies, candy, chips, etc). But if you just imagine all of those kinds of items as poision it helps a lot. In addition to the change in diet it was also important for me to begin a good excercise program. At first all I could do is walk. But now I do stairsteppers for 45 minutes each day (and I am now up to 4 on the resistance), plus 15 minutes of reps with weights (10 lbs), and stretching. Some days (when I have slipped on my diet) the excercise will actually take away the pain I get in my legs, knees and hips. Good luck jackie...... You can do it!! In fact I have 0 symptoms after 7 months on this diet. ******************** I'm going to start this today, but will be including a few protiens. It's time for me to cut out all the processed foods, sugar, flour etc. I feel better when I do this and the last times I did,and stopped hurting so bad, I started slipping back into my old ways of eating now I'm a fibro mess again. My hip feels like there is a steak knife in it right now and I am so tired I wouldn't be able to fight my way out of a wet paper bag. I have things I need to get done too. Thanks for the reminder, Ill post with updates Anyone else want to join me in going to a more natural diet if not the completely veg diet? If so feel free to say hello on yahoo messenger. I could use some raw veggie meal ideas. Fruits I am good at lol ___________ Jackie www.youravon.com/jackienelson
