Guest guest Posted July 30, 2004 Report Share Posted July 30, 2004 Dear , Good for you, for your business, the leadership role in your Social Group , and for being able to get a little bit more awareness of Lupus ,and how it affects us out there in the open. hugs for , hellos, and update Hiya, Just wanted to chime in so everyone knew I didn't fall off the face of the earth. , I will be thinking of you while you go through this last bit of closure for you. I can't remember who said it about photos, I just wanted to add if you don't have negatives you can go to Staples or Office Depot and get them to color copy them on glossy papper and you can't tell the difference between the real and the copy. It costs about .35/page but you can get anywhere from 6-10 pictures on each page. My mom does scrapbooking and that is how she does it so she doesn't destroy the originals. *big hugs for you* I also wanted to say hello to all the new people and welcome to the group! Now for my update, I have been really busy here making items that I have sold (I am shocking myself with the prices I am requesting and getting). Some people are starting to think of christmas presents and are buying now, which is great because this is when I start my christmas shopping too. So I have been able to get one or two presents every week so far this month, just have the big presents to save for. this year our son is getting a new bed, the one he has is about gone, but being a classic male he doesn't want to spend the money to sleep comfortably. Cat is getting the scanner she has been drooling over for the past year. I am hinting that I want a tv back in my sewing room we had to give it up for Cat's nephew and his new place. hopefully I will get one with a dvd too so I can watch movies too. I also got elected leader of the social group we are involved in.... I didn't know that I was running LOL. I had been co leader for a while but our leader just received a transfer with her job so it's in my hands now. I am actually really proud of myself, I came out of the lupies closet so to speak. Some of the members knew I have lupus but not everyone did, so after making the transfer of leadership offical and asking for people to step forward to help me out. I explained that I would need to know that if I am sick the day of our meetings that I need to be able to appoint a host of the night then I explained about me having lupus, what lupus is (words taken from this group) and how it affects me.
