, Just want to share my experience, and I hope it helps. I wish

someone had shared this w/ me 13 years ago when I was first diagnosed

w/ FMS. I believe those who are uninformed make comments about our

treatment choices (Rxs etc). In my last relationship, I was no

completely forthcoming about all of my pain and misery. I was

embarrassed and in denial, so my bf was confused @ my lack of

productivity. In my current relationship, I have let down my ego,

embarrasment, and denial about my disabilities and pain, and this has

allowed me to focus on my health, not on maintaining a farse, i.e.,

that FMS isn't REALLY a sickness. Some have said, " I don't believe in

all those prescription meds. " I tell that I do not have the luxury

of not believing in them, bc w/o them, I have no life. If I am to be

present for family and friends, and somewhat functional, I must use

the Rxs. Those who question the therapies do not suffer as we do, bc

if they did, they would know what a sacrifice it is to ingest meds

that cause awful side effects. Would your dear husband question a

cancer patient taking cancer drugs, an impotent man using viagra, or

a near sighted person using glasses? Perhaps he just does not fully

understand that FMS can be debilitating, demoralizing, and

dehumanizing. After denial passes, he can begin to understand that

his wife is sick. Hard to admit...but my experience informs me that

it is much harder to deny. I wish you well and believe w/ effort,

your husband can become an ally, informing naysayers about his

amazement for his wife who suffers yet manages to be there for him! I

wish you health & happiness
