Guest guest
I agree with Arne, except I saw a couple of things on the list I would avoid like the plague. Sauerkraut is way to high in sodium, unless you are in the very early stages, I’d scratch it off the list. Licorice Extract can raise blood pressure (so avoid if you have varices). Any Supplement, should be cleared with your doctor before taking. Barb in Texas - Together in the Fight - Whatever it Takes! Guest guest
Since I have been put on a specific diet by my doctors " the low oxalate diet " because they are telling me that my intestines are not breaking down enough fat due to the PSC (since as of yet I don't have an offical diagnosis of CD or UC) for the oxalate that is many foods to be excreted correctly my kidneys are being overloaded by them and are very toxic. They keep explaining more and more about this to me, it is finally making sense to me. There is now a huge list of food that I cannot eat or I may need a kidney transplant in the future. A lot of the foods on that list are on my do not eat list. Liver disease runs with this Oxalate disorder, small bowl disease, along with absorbtion problems, This list is now very scarry to me after what I have been going through trying to feel better and wht the endcorinologist, hepatologist, and nephrologist are telling me. Please be careful Dawn > > I agree with Arne, except I saw a couple of things on the list I would > avoid like the plague. > > Sauerkraut is way to high in sodium, unless you are in the very early > stages, I'd scratch it off the list.
