Red lines in whites of eyes

The whites of my eyes have had a lot of red " lines " in them for at least 5 years

now. I've used Alocril drops, but they don't seem to make any difference, so I

don't think it's caused by environmental allergies. Does anyone else have this

problem, and do you think it could be related to thyroid or adrenal issues?
