Guest guest
Alisa, Some of us who do research in this field believe that there is a good chance that pesticides can cause chronic neurological diseases such as Parkinson's. As far as I know there is not much funding available. There are some past studies done by the Army in the 60s and 70s showing a link. Incidence of Parkinson's disease in Migrant and Seasonal farmworkers should also be looked at. The difficulty in studying this rate is that once a migrant farmworker is D(x) with this, he or she typically would stay at their home base and discontinue farm work.
